Haut jersey(sans son passepoil)/Jersey top (without its piping)

Question: how can you be disappointed of your last sewing but loved it at the same time?
Answer: just forget the piping you have sewed with a the same fabric as for the collar and put it in front of your eyes to not forget it!
I realized it when it left 4 inches/10 cm on the collar.

I used a pattern from a japanese magazine (Pochée 9) and could'nt decide between a cotton fabric and jersey.
Finally I've chose the jersey fabric.
There was no problem till I begun the collar and the bottom which was twice bigger plus the raglan sleeves.
I focused so hard on gathering the bottom to match with that when I look up and saw the piping it was too late!!! You can imagine my screams out of despair.

So now, to fix this "mistake" I have to  sew the cotton one (with the piping!!)

  1. It does not look as bad as you think. I can't really see it. Maybe its because it is black? Do you get the Pochee in french? I think I saw one edition in a shop when I went to Brussels last year. Japanese patterns always look so comfortable to wear. I'm sure the cotton will be much easier to sew.

  2. I'm not really disappointed because I wore it on saturday but it's just that the piping had to bring a touch of color because it's really dark!!
I only have the japanese Pochee but I know that some patterns are translated in french books but I like them in original version.

Oh and you can put your "small" belly in it,it's so big!
