Robe de communion/ First communion dress

Ma nièce faisait sa 1ère communion fin Avril et il lui fallait une robe bien sûr..
Ma soeur voulait une robe toute simple,blanche, avec une ceinture et juste une petite touche de couleur.

J'ai utilisé un drap en coton brodé, donc une chose de moins à faire.
Elle est doublée car je la trouvais un peu transparente.
La seule "extravagance" sont les plis que j'ai fait à l'arrière de la jupe.
Pour la touche de couleur, j'ai mis une bande jaune sur la ceinture (qui a été repris pour décorer les ballerine de la demoiselle)

Fini le projet qui m'a tenu éveillé quelques heures avant d'être porté, genre 4/5h avant la communion!
Bon c'est vrai que j'ai commencé 2 semaines avant, cela explique peur-être cela...
Mais ma nièce l'a trouvé à son goût et c'était la plus belle de tous les communiants (dixit ses parents!) donc ça va.

My sister wanted a white dess with a simple pattern, a belt and just a hint of colour.

I've used a cotton bedsheet with an emproidery, one thing I didn't have to do.
There's a lining because I find it  a bit see-trough.
The only "extravagance" I made are the pleats on the back of the skirt.
The the hint of colour, I just sew a yellow strip on the belt (use to customize her shoes too)

Thanks this project that made me stayed awake almost all night is finished, just 4/5 hours before the communion!
It's true I had  begun it just 2 weeks before the D-day, so it's understandable...
But my niece loved her dress and she was the most beautiful ( acoording to her parents!) so everything is allright.
